Travis Tritt Cancels Shows At Venues With Covid-19 Requirements

Multi-platinum selling and award-winning artist Travis Tritt has announced he will not perform at venues that require proof of Covid vaccination, mask mandates, or testing. As a result, four Travis Tritt concerts have been canceled.

Tritt will not turn up to perform at Muncie, Indiana, on October 23; Philadelphia, Mississippi, on November 6; Peoria, Illinois, on November 11; and Louisville, Kentucky, on November 13.

"I'm putting my money where my mouth is and announcing that any venue or promoter mandating masks, requiring vaccinations, or pushing COVID testing protocols on my fans will not be tolerated," Tritt said in a statement.

He announced that any show he has booked that discriminates against concert-goers by requiring proof of vaccination, a COVID test, or a mask is being canceled immediately.

"Many people are taking a firm stand against these mandates around the country, and I wholeheartedly support that cause. I have been extremely vocal against mandates since the beginning," Tritt said. "This is a sacrifice that I'm willing to make to stand up for the freedoms that generations of Americans have enjoyed for their entire lifetimes."

"There are plenty of promoters and venues around the country that appreciate fans and the freedom of choice in this great country, and those are the promoters and venues that I will be supporting," he added.

Apologizing to fans for any inconvenience this situation creates for anyone who had purchased tickets to these shows, the country singer promised that he will try to reschedule unrestricted shows in these areas as soon as possible.

Tim McGraw Jumps Off Stage To Confront Hecklers

Tim McGraw Jumps Off Stage To Confront Hecklers

Tim McGraw jumped off the stage during a recent concert in Reno, Nevada, to confront fans who were reportedly heckling him after the country superstar missed a few lyrics.

The singer paused the show during a performance of "Just to See You Smile" when fans started to boo him for forgetting the lyrics to his hit song.

"Hold on, stop. You got a problem with me?" McGraw said before climbing off the stage into the crowd.

However, security guards arrived and helped to de-escalate the situation. Eventually, McGraw went back to the stage and resumed singing "Where the Green Grass Grows."

After resuming the show, McGraw also addressed the issue why he was having hard time remembering lyrics.

"If I forget words tonight, just know I'm old." he said, joking with the audience. "And I'm shooting a movie and I'm working with my wife."

"There are a lot of variables in that situation. So, if I forget the words, sing along with me and help me out," he added.

Kacey Musgraves Responds After 'Star-Crossed' Excluded From Grammys Country Categories

Kacey Musgraves Responds After 'Star-Crossed' Excluded From Grammys Country Categories

Kacey Musgraves tweeted, "You can take the girl out of the country (genre) but you can't take the country out of the girl," after The Recording Academy said its screening committee members believed her album Star-Crossed doesn't fit into the country genre.

Star-Crossed was instead ruled eligible for Pop Vocal Album. The album was released via the country-oriented Universal Music Group Nashville in partnership with Interscope Records.

UMG Nashville president Cindy Mabe wrote a letter to Recording Academy President and CEO Harvey Mason Jr. regarding Star-Crossed's ineligibility.

"This decision from the country committee to not accept Star-Crossed into the country albums category is very inconsistent and calls into question the other agendas that were part of this decision," Mabe wrote, according to Variety.

"The idea that a handful of people including competitors, who would benefit from Kacey not being in the country category, are deciding what is country only exacerbates the problem," she added. "The system is broken and sadly not just for Kacey Musgraves but for our entire genre because of how these decisions are made for music's biggest stage. Building roadblocks for artists who dare to fight the system is so dangerous and against everything I think the Grammy's [sic] stand for."

Mickey Guyton Guest Stars On 'Mickey Mouse Funhouse' In 'Dream Come True'

Mickey Guyton turned in a guest appearance on the latest episode of "Mickey Mouse Funhouse" as the voice of country-western singer Wanda Warbler.

In the episode, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and the rest of the gang travel to the Old West town of Sunny Gulch in order to hear Wanda sing.

Guyton rendered a beautiful original song, "Won't go Wanderin," a tune that refers to her nickname "The Wandrin' Warbler" because Wanda has a habit of getting sidetracked and wandering off.

Ahead of the episode's premiere, Guyton shared her excitement over the achievement. "I literally cannot," she wrote in the caption. "How incredible is this?! Being a part of Mickey Mouse Funhouse is a dream come true! I am so excited to be the voice of Wanda Warbler, a country western singer in a brand new episode of the show. Tune in Friday, October 15th on @dinsneychannel and @disneynow."

Miranda Lambert Shares New Single 'If I Was A Cowboy'

Miranda Lambert recently shared her new single "If I Was a Cowboy" and an accompanying music video.

"If I was a cowboy, I'd be wild and free / Rollin' around these towns like tumbleweeds," Lambert sings in the chorus. "I'd be a legend at lovin' and leavin' / Nippin' on a whiskey and numbin' all my feelings / You thought the West was wild, but you ain't saddled up with me."

"If I was a cowboy, I'd be the queen," she proclaims.

The song was co-written by Lambert and Jesse Frasure.

Speaking about the collaboration, Lambert wrote, "We met doing the remix of 'Tequila Does' and he and I just got together one afternoon for a write and this is what came out of it. It's funny, he's a Detroit boy and I'm an East Texan, but somehow we wrote a song about the Wild West together."

Lambert, the most nominated woman in CMA Awards history, is scheduled to perform at the Tortuga Music Festival in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on November 12.

Country star Chase Rice recently released his new single, "If I Were Rock & Roll." The song is the first major single written independently by the multi-platinum entertainer.

Speaking about the inspiration behind writing the song, Rice said, "As I sat down to write this song at my dining room table, with nothing but a guitar and the line 'If I Were Jesus,' inspired by Bruce Springsteen's 'If I Was the Priest,' I wanted to incorporate all of the things that have been such a huge influence in my life into the lyrics."

"From Earnhardt to my military buddies, to Johnny Cash, to my grandpa. these are all people and memories who have shaped the man I am. It's a very personal, real song to me and yet how the song ends, with the one that got away, makes it one that I think a lot of people will relate to," he added.

Gary LeVox Opens Up About The End Of Rascal Flatts

Gary LeVox Opens Up About The End Of Rascal Flatts

Rascal Flatts' Gary LeVox has opened up about the end of the country trio and the departure of longtime member Joe Don Rooney.

In a recent interview with People, LeVox said, "I've never been okay with the way that it ended. I was never okay with."

He then added, "I wasn't happy that Joe Don [Rooney] quit."

Last year, LeVox, Rooney and Jay DeMarcus, the trio behind hits like "Bless The Broken Road," "Life Is A Highway," "What Hurts The Most," "My Wish," "I Like The Sound Of That" and more, appeared on "CBS This Morning" and announced that their 20th anniversary tour would also be the official farewell tour for Rascal Flatts.

However, the tour was canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic and the dates were never rescheduled.

"It kind of came out of nowhere," LeVox shared. "It was like, 'Let me try to wrap my head around this.' And then I certainly wasn't okay with the pandemic, which canceled everything. I hate the way that it ended. I hate that we didn't get to do this farewell tour. I can't stand the fact that it just feels there's no closure with something that we've been so blessed with. That will always be in my heart."

After the break up, the trio have pursued solo careers, with LeVox releasing the recent Christian album One on One, while DeMarcus released a tribute to his late father with "Music Man."

Coachella, Stagecoach Festivals Will No Longer Require Covid-19 Vaccination

Coachella, Stagecoach Festivals Will No Longer Require Covid-19 Vaccination

Fans are no longer required to be vaccinated for Covid-19 to attend the Coachella and Stagecoach festivals in 2022.

Festival organizers have decided to allow unvaccinated fans to attend next year's Coachella and Stagecoach festivals if they can show negative COVID-19 test taken 72 hours prior to the event.

"After seeing first-hand the low transmission data and successful implementation of safety protocols at our festivals recently, alongside the rising vaccination rate of eligible Americans, we feel confident that we can safely update our policy for Coachella that allows for negative covid test taken within 72 hours of the event OR proof of full vaccination," the organizers announced in a statement.

In August, AEG Presents had announced that starting October 1, fans attending events produced by the company would need to show proof of full vaccination.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and the Stagecoach Festival are set to return in spring of 2022 after the sister festivals were canceled for two years in a row due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Coachella festival will take place on April 15-17 and April 22-24, 2022, while Stagecoach will take place a week later on April 29-May 1.

Travis Scott and Rage Against the Machine have been confirmed as headliners for Coachella, with a third headliner yet to be announced.
