Nashville notes: Collabs from Eli Winders + Vincent Mason, The Castellows + Wyatt Flores

Eli Winders and Vincent Mason have teamed on a twangy and breezy tune, "Famous for a Heartbreak." "This was the first song [Vincent and I] wrote together along with our friend Aaron Armstrong. We wrote 'Famous for a Heartache' on July 26, 2023 and, totally unintentionally, are putting it out exactly a year later. Looking back at our texts from that day, we all knew this song was special and we are all ecstatic to be putting it out," shares Eli. Vincent adds, "Eli has been a good friend of mine since he moved to Nashville. ... I love this song and I’m excited it’s out in the world."

Russell Dickerson recently performed his new single, "Bones," on GMA3. If you missed it, you can watch it now at goodmorningamerica.com.

The Castellows and Wyatt Flores are celebrating "Sober Sundays" in their new collab. "This song has since become one of our favorites!" shares The Castellows' Eleanor, Lily and Powell. "It’s been such an honor working with you Wyatt! We hope y’all all love this song as much as we do." Wyatt adds, "This song means so much to me and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to work with the girls. I hope you love this song as much as I do!"

"In Color" singer Jamey Johnson has released two new tracks, "What a View" and "Trudy," with Randy Houser. You can listen to them now on digital platforms.

Reba gives arid land life in "I Can't" video

Courtesy of MCA Nashville

Reba McEntire has unveiled the music video for "I Can't."

The artistic visualizer captures Reba performing her empowering anthem in an arid and almost lifeless land. Gradually, life starts to sprout from the ground, and when the final chorus arrives, rain pours heavily from the sky as flowers blossom.

"Let go the anchor, let go the chain/ Don't reach for me and don't call my name/ Shake off the past and, baby, just swim for the shore/ Blow me a kiss and hope for the best/ Wish what you will and take what you get/ Do what you want but I can't save you no more," Reba declares in the anthemic chorus.

"I Can't" is Reba's latest release following her 2023 album, Not That Fancy

This fall you can catch Reba on season 26 of The Voice and her new sitcom, Happy's Place, on NBC.

Lee Brice captures life moments in "Summer of Us"

Courtesy of Curb Records

Lee Brice has dropped a new track, "Summer of Us."

The part-anthemic, part-reflective tune features slice-of-life lyrics that chronicle a summer filled with highs, lows and lessons learned.

"Red light, main street, back seat, graduation gown/ Two lanes, four wheels, lake house out on the edge of town/ Party all night, wake up sleeping on the ground," goes the opening verse.

The third verse offers a more serious outlook on life: "Buck shot, stop sign, live like it's never gonna end/ Truth is, real life's a sharp knife when you lose a friend/ And we did, so hold tight 'cause they're right/ We can't go back again."

The season that binds every mentioned moment together? Summer.

"That was the summer of us/ It didn't last long enough/ Fast cars and falling in love/ We didn't wanna grow up/ Oh, that summer of us," Lee sings in the anthemic chorus.

"Summer of Us," and the Nate Smith and Hailey Whitters-featured "Drinkin' Buddies" are early previews of Lee's forthcoming follow-up to his 2020 album, Hey World.

Luke Combs + Post Malone take a road trip in porta potties in "Guy for That" video

ABC

Luke Combs and Post Malone have teamed up for "Guy for That," a new song from Posty's forthcoming debut country album, F-1 Trillion.

In the song's music video, Posty and Luke come out the back of a building and head into a set of portable toilets — but what they don't know is that the porta potties are actually on the back of a flatbed truck. The driver pulls a cover over them and drives away while the two singers are relieving themselves.

When they emerge, they're confused and don't know where they are, but when the cover pulls back, they realize they're on Nashville's Lower Broadway — Music City's party central. They perform the song, which is about a guy who wants to get back together with his ex but doesn't know how, as fans cram the streets and cheer.

The truck is then covered back up and they drive back to the original building, where Post tells Luke, "Craziest p*** of my life."

"Guy for That" is the latest preview of F-1 Trillion, and was preceded by the chart-topping "I Had Some Help" with Morgan Wallen and its follow-up single "Pour Me a Drink" featuring Blake Shelton.

F-1 Trillion drops Aug. 16 and is available for preorder now.

Justin Moore celebrates "REAL Country" music with his "Boot"

Courtesy of The Valory Music Co.

Listen up, phony country folks: Justin Moore has a message for you.

The "Small Town USA" singer has released "Put a Boot in It" and it's a song with "an attitude."

"It’s a Honky Tonk, kind of fun tune that’s basically about keeping Country music ... well, you know, twangy, and REAL Country," Justin says, before clarifying his intentions. "It’s definitely tongue-in-cheek and isn’t meant to be offensive by any stretch to any other artist out there who does the other stuff. It really came to life in the studio because we did something completely different than when we originally wrote it."

"The verse sounds completely different than the chorus when it comes to instruments and speed, which is pretty neat," he adds. "It’s really nothing like I’ve ever recorded."

The chorus goes, "Put a boot in it/ Make that tele sing when I smooth bend it/ Take it on down to the honky tonk/ Like a Haggard song/ If you want this ole boy to listen/ You better put a boot in it."

"Put a Boot in It" is out now on digital platforms.

Justin's currently on the road for fair and festival dates as he readies to kick off his co-headlining Country Round Here Tonight Tour with Randy Houser in September. For tickets and a full list of dates, visit justinmooremusic.com.

Need a confidence booster? Tigirlily Gold's got you covered with their debut album, 'Blonde'

Courtesy of Monument Records

Tigirlily Gold's long-awaited debut album, Blonde, has arrived.

While sisters Krista Slaubaugh and Kendra Slaubaugh may be blondes in real life, that's not what inspired their preceding EP and full-length effort's titles.

"Blonde EP is turning into Blonde the album, our debut album, and the vibe is the same. We're still the girl group energy. We still say 'blond is a state of mind.' It's [a] Dolly Parton state of mind, and we're rolling with it," Krista tells ABC Audio.

Whether it's the jubilant "Shoot Tequila" or pensive "I Tried a Ring On," Tigirlily Gold hopes listeners feel empowered after listening to their music.

"I feel like in every song we have a sense of empowerment. Even with our song 'I Tried a Ring On,' it's a sad breakup song, but it still says, 'I'm going to get over you being gone. I just feel stupid, I tried a ring on,'" Kendra shares. "We try to have that sense of empowerment in everything we do because that's what we're all about. We want to make people feel confident and good and like they are not being judged."

"Everybody's welcomed to the Tigirlily Gold party," Krista adds.

Blonde is out now wherever you get music.

After "One Thing Right," Kane Brown says new Marshmello collab "Miles On It" is "part two"

ABC/Paula Lobo

In 2019, Kane Brown teamed with Marshmello for the song "One Thing Right," which reached #1 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart and the top 20 on the Billboard Pop Airplay chart. So it's no wonder Kane said yes when the helmeted DJ reached out to ask him about doing a sequel called "Miles On It."

"He texted me and asked me if I wanted to do a part two," Kane told reporters recently, adding that 'Mello, as he calls him, is "a really cool guy."

"He actually came to Nashville so I knew he was really excited about it," Kane says of "Miles On It." "The first time we worked together, I didn't really know him so I didn't know how excited he was to work with me. And for him to actually fly down to my house, and record me and produce it there ... meant the world to me."

"And now it's smashing for us so it's cool."

At this point in his career, Kane's no stranger to the pop charts. Since "One Thing Right," he's scored hits with "Be Like That" with Khalid and Swae Lee; the blackbear collab "Memory"; and "Thank God," his duet with his wife, Katelyn.

Speaking of Katelyn, she and Kane recently welcomed their third child, a boy named Krewe Allen Brown. He joins his two big sistersKodi Jane, 2, and Kingsley Rose, 4.

Lauren Alaina is mourning the death of her father, J.J. Suddeth.

The "Getting Good" singer announced to fans on Wednesday morning that she lost her dad and has rescheduled upcoming shows.

"We lost my daddy last night, and I really don't have words yet. I wanted to let y'all know that I'm not able to play the three shows I had scheduled for this weekend in Savannah, Virginia Beach, and Charlotte as I am going home to be with my family. Find out why Keith Urban had to name his upcoming album 'High'

Courtesy of Capitol Nashville

If there's a word that encapsulates Keith Urban's forthcoming album, it's "high."

"It's a one-word title, and I think that kind of summed up the whole spirit and energy of the record, and it ended up also being a word that started appearing in many songs on the record, unbeknownst to me, because the songs were done and recorded," Keith says of High.

"It was when I started listening to the thing, I went, 'Oh my God, there's that word again,' 'Oh, there's that word again.' It's in 'Straight Line.' It's in a lot of songs," the country star says. "So that really summed up the album."

For Keith, "high" is also an all-encompassing feeling, spirit and energy.

"I think it's a very accurate photograph of who I am at the moment," he adds.

High arrives Sept. 20 and is available for preorder and presave now.

Bailey Zimmerman's just "enjoying the moment" on tour

Disney/Tanner Yeager

If there's one thing Bailey Zimmerman's not experienced on tour yet, it's waking up thinking he's home sweet home.

"All my band has been talking about that! 'Man, have you woke up and, like, thought you were home?' And I’m like, 'No. I’ve never had that happen.' 'Like, dude, this morning I woke up and for some reason I just thought I was in my house and woke up and smacked my head on the top of my bunk.' And I’m like, 'Dude, I don’t know how you do that,'" Bailey recounts in a press interview.

"No, I haven’t got that yet, but maybe one day," he says.

What helps Bailey remember he's on tour is being present with the wonderful opportunities at hand.

"I think I’m just enjoying the moment, living in it right now," the "Where It Ends" singer says. "I’m not letting it go too fast, so I kind of know where I’m at, what I’m doing."
